Auditory processing disorders affect about 15-20%, of the school-aged population, according to Dr. Jack Katz, Ph.D., author of the Buffalo Model.

About The Auditory Connection.

The Auditory Connection is a highly specialized pediatric audiology practice, with a location in Illinois and another in Texas. We provide high quality comprehensive central auditory processing evaluations, therapy, and education for children of all ages. We also work with schools to implement educational accommodations and special education services for Section 504 and Individual Education Plans. The Auditory Connection is unique; the practice focuses entirely on auditory processing disorders. We implement a "whole-body, whole-brain approach," as the hearing system does not function independently of other body systems. The children we serve may be very similar or different from their peers. Whether your child struggles academically, excels, or is somewhere in between, we can help. We offer flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends and some holidays. We are certified in the evidence-based listening programs, The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and The Listening Program (TLP).  Telehealth services are also available.

"We are committed to the team approach for the diagnosis and management of auditory processing disorders, where the family is the center of the team. We get to know each child individually to best assess and treat his or her needs. We ensure that parents and caregivers understand the reason behind their child's different challenges. We design customized intervention and care plans for home and school. We work in collaboration with other professionals involved in your child's care." ~Dr. Donna and Dr. Christy

The Auditory Connection mission.

The Auditory Connection is dedicated to improving the listening, communication, educational, social and emotional difficulties children experience as a result of their auditory disorders.
